In 1998, she published her first book How To Eat – a paean to recipes, appetite and memory – which was followed in 2000 by a baking book, How To Be A Domestic Goddess. When Diamond died, in 2001, she was left with two young children and in the midst of filming her first television series, Nigella Bites.
